Gregg used fabric remnants to make the sofa pillows and the patchwork upholstery on a chair that belonged to her grandmother. The lacquered table and chest, both by Vaughan, hold lamps with custom silk shades.

Living room bookshelves offer another spot for Gregg to display objects and mementos.

The zebra pattern on the dining room chairs was designed by Gregg and executed in needlepoint by her mother.

Faux-bois plates, a T.J. Maxx find, bring out the warmth of the wood table by Elizabeth Stuart Design.

The designer hand painted the large scale tree pattern on the walls of her bedroom. The silvery finishes of a bureau and stool help bounce light around the space. Bed, GDC home.
A shell-encrusted antique mirror brings a note of pearly luster to the room.

Turquoise accents, including monogrammed pillows by Leontine Linens, punch up the neutral backdrop of the master bedroom.

For a dash of glamour, Gregg painted her childhood chest of drawers in tortoiseshell tones and thrift shop chairs in metallic gold. Inexpensive plates and urns, all from T.J. Maxx, are hung like a collage. Mirror, Boca Bargains.

An artful seating arrangement surrounds the bedroom fireplace.

The screened porch is a favorite spot for casual get-togethers and a convenient space to accommodate overflow at the many parties Gregg hosts. Vintage wicker and rattan furniture, enlivened by a mix of colorful pillows, evokes a breezy tropical air. Candlesticks were turned into lamps and topped with shades.

Built around 1740, the house is located on one of Charleston's quaint alleyways.
